update again

20mins bike (HR:120-130)
35mins elliptical machine (HR: 130-165; AVHR: 156)
strength training: 5-10 mins.

Im so tired. I totally have had a relapse in the past couple of days but Im going to start back again now, why beat myself over thepast when I could just loook forward to the future right?

So todays plan of not eating much was goooooooooooooood

2 sticks of sugarfree chewing gum
1 sip of nescafe
2 packs of biscuits (88 cals per pack, so 176 cals)
an apple
(a very bad breakfast, now that i remember it)
potato wedges

Well, I ate less than I did yesterday thats for sure. I think my stomach stretched again so I need more to feel fulller. Shit! Though other than the potattoes, I didnt have carbs at all even when offered... and I turned off from cakes.

Though I think Im having a liking towards biscuits now....which is not all that great... :/

We'll see.

No more eating after 8pm
More water, even at work. Work the courage to use the loo there.
No major carbs, and cakes (ONE portion/serving per week only at most as a treat)
No eating anything bigger than the size of my palm at one sitting.
Exercise at least 200 mins a week.

120 mins down! :D

Anyway, sleep calls. Goodbye!

iVillage email tips

      Long, Lean and Green

With spring just around the corner, a seasonal favorite is popping up in the produce section: asparagus. Even better, it falls into the negative calorie food category, meaning it contains fewer calories than the amount your body burns digesting it! A four-spear serving has just 13 calories, yet provides 12 percent of your RDA of vitamin A, 8 percent of vitamin C and 4 percent of potassium, plus 1.4 g protein, 1.2 g fiber and just 2.5 g carbs, with no fat.

Preparation is easy too: Just snap off the tough bottom portion of each spear, rinse with water, and steam until tender but not mushy in a covered skillet with a few tablespoons of water. Or try asparagus tossed into salads, stir-fries, soups and casseroles in place of the usual veg. You just might find that this year, your spring fling looks long, lean and green.

----------------------

3 Ways to Survive the Weekend

If you're one of those snackers who does great from Monday to Friday, only to blow all your hard work over the weekend, take heart. It is possible to stay the course from Friday to Sunday with a few extra tricks. Be sure to:

   1. Add structure to your days. Make sure you're still eating regular meals and snacks, even if you aren't "on the clock."
   2. Beware the weekend mentality. Overeating on the weekend can stem from trying to "reward yourself" for making it through the week. If so, schedule a little spa pampering or another low-cal reward instead.
   3. Plan ahead. We know the idea of planning your weekend may seem a bit non-spontaneous, but checking out a restaurant menu in advance, having healthy foods on hand, and other forward thinking can help keep you away from temptation.

----------------------
" The best way to stay well is to eat a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegtables, limit red and fatty meats, watch your fat intake, and keep processed foods to a minimum."
----------------------
Freezing apples leaves them soft and mushy, making them a snap to skin and mash.

Ingredients: 4 to 6 medium apples, unpeeled, cored and quartered 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) ground nutmeg 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice

Place all ingredients in a large Ziploc bag. Toss well. Place in freezer for 4 hours or overnight. Remove and allow to thaw for an hour or more. Gently rub skin from frozen apples and place apple pulp into a glass serving bowl. Mash with a fork or potato masher. Serve cold.

A note from Tosca: The temptation will be great to sweeten the applesauce with sugar. Taste it first. If needed, mix in up to 1/4 cup of Sucanat or organic brown sugar.

Makes 6 to 8 servings. Nutritional data per serving: 164 calories, 1 g fat, 7 g carbs, 4 g fiber, 28 g protein, 80 mg sodium.

----------------------

Couscous, oatmeal, quinoa, parsley, celery, peppers, salmon, tofu, soups, etc.

Find a good weightloss or exercise buddy and compete and motivate each other.

Take up on Anns offer on going to the gym with her free-buddy pass.

Go out scoping for guys! hahahaha. Get great songs!

And now I feel so motivated.

Motivation gets you off from the starting line, habit gets you through the race

Ive tasted all the foods before, so why dont I just pass on the delicious food. Its not like I cant ever have it again if I pass up this once... besides, whats so heavenly about fatty foods anyway? Its all the same everytime...

Imma go. Thin (or at least thinner!) tastes better than food does.

You know you love me, XOXO
<3

I fucking will not be sidetracked.

Yesterday was not as great of a day I hoped it wouldve been. Ate as planned,
1 banana for breakfast with nescafe
a can of nescafe..celery+carrots+strawberries for lunch plus one pack of biscuits (3 pieces)
tomyam (like probably 5 bowls, Id say 50cals per bowl)
and chewing gum..

And I still felt puffed up. My brother said I looked like I gained weight only for today (ie yesterday) and my dad the other day said my stomach looks like its jutting out again. My grandma said I lost a ton of weight though...

I dont know, after the bad day yesterday I feel like to hell with this, but I wont do that. I will lose 10-20 pounds more. I will be 55kg at least and work to being 50kg.

So far today:
4pieces of nuggets, 4 pieces of tempeh, 2 handfuls of broccoli
3 bowls of tomyam

thats overeating right there. I feel so unmotivated but the results were flying in so well...

I need to get out more often...see people, that was one of the things that kept me going before when people would be so thin and would make comments if i were losing weight or looking good or about like how my jeans were tight. Hah!

Im so pathetic.

Fuck this.

Progress: none

Today I woke up not very hungry, which is a surprise because I was so hungry yesterday and didnt eat after 6pm (I slept at like 5:40am) and woke up at 2pm (how healthy right?). Anyway, I ate a banana and drank a glass of water and was full for like an hour, then I went nuts. I think it was the mandarin oranges. I had one and then it was like all hell broke loose. I had a vitagen, 1 small bowl of salad with thousand island dressing, leftover nandos chicken with fries (FRIES! its carbs! AGH!) and then i had another portion of spicy chicken.

And I thought that would be my meal of the day, but no.

at 7pm. I ate again, 1 small bowl of icecream (like 3 scoops of vanilla haagen dazs) and 3 pieces of oreos. Oh, also one more portion of chicken with veggies. Ugh! I hate being a pig today. My stomach even feels more bloated than usual.

And this fucking rash has spread to my neck so I cant just hide it with my hair because its so obvious now. Really gross. Ew, might as well be that thursday til the weekend are holidays and tomorrow I bet will be so hectic in the city for me to go see the doctor/dermo.

Whatever it is, I will still go to the gym in an hour. Im still full right now.

Rules:

nothing with calories after 8pm

more water than ever, anytime hunger strikes, drink 2 glasses at least

more green vegetables than ever

I need to get some honey, lemons (for lemonade), grapefruit, celery, leeks, almonds.

At least 200 hours of exercise per week.

I swam for 30+ minutes yesterday evening, until some annoying noisy people came over to the pool and acted like snotty bimbos. They didnt even swim and was laughing by the side of the pool like derelict idiotic brainless prostitutes and were taking pictures while lifting their ass and submerging their bodies in the pool. Not. As. If. I. Were. Paying. Attention.

Idiots.

Though the little kid and his nanny was what bothered me most. Ugh. I hate little kids who are noisy and splash water like as if their feet were buckets.

Okay, fine. I'm definitely calling in for internship gigs. Yay!

-Me

oh baby baby

Hilary Duff's Gypsy Woman song is catchy. I like hearing it when I'm working out on my 8 out of 10 difficulty scale while doing cardio. Also any Kanye West song. And this coming from a girl who hates (hated?) rap, hip hop and etc. Though I dont think Kanye's songs are rap or hip hop. Or is it?

Anyway, I used the gym like from 11:30 to 1 something. 100 minutes of cardio! I'm THAT good haha. Though I'm trying to make up for this whole weeks non-gymming days. That rash thing is weird, so I had not tried to do anything to aggravate it and plus Ive not been eating muchly and the scale (yes, I cheated, I didnt hold up on Sunday weigh-ins only) said Im still on 60kg. Yesterday there was no food at home, so I only ate like plain crackers (perhaps 10, the whole day) then at 10pm I was too hungry and there was KFC chicken and some buns that was too hard to resist. I had like not even a piece of chicken, the chicken piece + the bread I had did not even constitute a serving/portion/my full size fist. But like I violated 2 rules for the first time and in one go: I ate after 10pm (be that as it may that it was 10:10 at the time), and I ate a bun (white bread bun at that, though I tore off half of it, and half of that piece I spit out). After that I took 4 laxatives and drank mucho water and waited to go to the gym and I felt much better. So yay! No more eating after 10pm and definitely no more starches/big carbs this week.

I did planks for a minute then100 crunches, 20 chair dips, 60 squats. Stretches and like 5-10 minutes of stretching and split exercises.

Also weights machine between the downtime of 30 minutes of bike + 60 minutes treadmill + 10 minutes of elliptical.

I feel like a good kind of sore today. I loves it.

Anyway, facial today. Ta!

wa-hey!

I now officially weigh in at 60.5kg! Not bad for starters huh? Though I broke my ruke/plan (whocares?) of only weighing in on sundays, I'm so happy and I'm definitely back on track. I'm having these rashes on the back of my neck (nape?) again like before when I exercised. Its from the sweat I think. Gross really, but I need to go see a dermo to find out whats wrong and to get rid of it hopefully.

I dont know why I'm so motivated to turn around everything and take care of myself. I've started using La Mer on my face everynight and scrubbing and brushing my feet with a pumice stone/brush when I shower and I use some foot-crack cream (haha, gross but whatevs) everynight when I go to bed. My feet isnt really cracked, but its more dry. I really want to go to that fish therapy thing where they eat the dead skin on your feet haha, I know this one place that offers that. We'll see.

I binged once like 2 days ago. Like 7 pieces of nuggets and a piece of bread but I made myself sick to get rid of it. I dont know what came over me but I worked hard so I felt a moment of weakness shouldnt mess up my hard work. So I made myself sick, which I said I wouldnt do before. Blah. I always feel hungry. I read this thing that said that the stomach was only the size of your fist so I dont eat more than the size of my fist, which is okay as long as I drink lots and lots and lots more water (plus another whole liter). I still am on my period now too, maybe soon I could start swimming or something for a change of pace. I was thinking of enrolling myself back into fencing as well as in a dance class or gymnastics class. Lately Ive been reading articles on how to ease yourself into doing splits. So far, I think I'm at least 50% progressing into that. I cant yet do splits that are 180degrees with my legs spread out, but I could do a split where Im facing one side , though I need to work on getting my legs to touch the ground completely instead of hanging there just like that. I always do stretches and practice splits before i sleep.

I'm just so happy today.

I've thought of a distraction - Im going to get a job, an internship at best perhaps with an international company. I have actually 3 big name companies and one local companies which is very successful. I'm not ready to call them up as of yet this week but for real, by next week I will call up the HR offices and ask about it. I plan to go back to college this week and ask my past lecturers about tips and tricks and perhaps recommendations. I really want this. For one, its a distraction for me, instead of just sitting around at home doing nothing being lazy and all. 2- it lets me focus on something else other than food, 3- and most importantly, I get work experience in my future career so I know what to expect. When I transfer overseas for university, I will have an edge in my applications for internships or work opportunities there. Effing-A, I want to do things finally! Im turning 21 this year and this should be the time of my life.

I also just remembered a 4th pro- I get to talk abt work and feel good for achieving something. I know lots of people who are doing well and to be able to join in the ranks of them and talk abt work is like, it would be exhilarating to say the least, No more feeling useless and unaccomplished! Yay!

Also, theres this one theater group workshop that goes on for 12 weeks (or 10?) im not sure but I really would love to join that. It costs my whole months allowance but hmm, fencing and that AND work? I'd rather stick to fencing and work. So we'll see.

I am fucking ambitious right now. I need to go pee, shower then drive somewhere haha. Dermo! yeah!

Pics:

See ya later lovelies!

I'm so bored today. Yesterday was a fun day though a very twisted one in the past week. I smoke like two ciggies and had a few sips of alcohol. I rarely even sip alcohol and yesterday was the first time I smoke out in public, not that anyone would care anyway. I think menthol ciggies does stimulate appetite though. Yesterday's intake:
brunch: 1/3rd cob of corn(40?) + 2/3rd cup of fat free yogurt (100cals), water
late lunch: 2 bowls of spicy tom yam seafood soup (100cals, thats mostly clear soup and vegetables anyway?) the spicyness totally kills my appetite for other things than tom yam and its not fattening at all.
9pm: 1 banana, pineapple and orange smoothie + 4 pieces of potato wedges and 2 pieces of chicken balls (that sounds so gross and weird, though it was just chicken shaped like a ball on a stick, def less than a serving of chicken anyway)
10:30pm: one oreo smoothie (like, 300 cals? hahaha i would not even know)

And potato wedges!!! Wah. Though I can count on one hand how many times I ate any form of carbs this week, which Im proud of...

weird enough theres a pattern here I can see. I'm nuts for oreos but like this is only a recent thing, Ive been eating ice cream like cornetto and magnum and oreo smoothies and like I think its cos I'm pms-ing. And yes, I did have my period. Boo. I couldnt even go swim yesterday and didnt exercise though the day before yesterday, I kicked my butt like psycho and went on the treadmill for an hour plus with 20 mins on the bike and stretches and crunches and weights exercises. I was totally stressed out and hormotional that I just couldnt stand but go to the gym and come out of there at like 1pm. Serious shit, I'm totally proud of myself too..I need to go again but like, heavy flow dampens it for me. I'm scared my pad would go all psycho and I'll be embarrassed like hell there.

Todays intake:
2pm: 2 bowls of tomyam
4pm: one cup of yogurt + 1 orange vitagen
6pm: one cornetto + 1 can of sprite which I finished! %^&*&$!!!

I think I'm definitely hormotional. Today was the worst I bet. I didnt even care to check the calorie content of the cornetto and sprite and vitagen and yogurt (it wasnt fat free. the fat free one was lumpy and gross)

I need to go do some shopping again.

List:
Fruits: apples,oranges,pears,grapes,cherries,strawberries,bananas
Vegs: celery,butter lettuce,stuff for caesar salad,asparagus,etc
Avocado
Tomatoes
Salmon
Chicken breast
Beans, legumes, etc
Tempeh
Shrimp/prawns
Dijon mustard
Miso soup stuff
mushrooms
Tofu

*less processed foods
*less/no carbs
*no sodas for the next 2 weeks
*more water
*more (green!) tea. peppermint and rose tea works too, maybe.
*at least 30 minutes of exercise 4 days a week.

-pedometer
-resistance band
-digital weighing scale
-medicine ball
-ankle weights

+workout clothes and running and tennis shoes.

I want my Chanel sunglasses.

See ya next time.

I do not want to purge. Nor do I want to binge again either. Fuck. Why do I binge?

1pm: 1 banana, 4 pieces of nuggets, 1 snickers bar, 1 glass of water.

I wonder how much calories was in that snickers bar.

I just checked.

http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/item/19155.html

for a 57 gram bar, it was 273 calories. Hmm, I wouldve thought it was more so wow, haha. I need to get a calorie count book or something.

so a banana has 90 cals + nuggets 200 cals + 273 cals. Fuck, thats like 563 cals. This better last me the whole day since I have vowed never to purge again (unless in dire circumstances.

I weighed myself this morning. Down to 61 kg! Yay! I'm vowing to do this at least a month so yeah. Fuck, I'll only weight myself every Sunday night.

I need a sewing machine.

Distractions:

Write in my blog(s)

Start a serious blog - political, etc issues.

Practice on my guitar (better tune it first) - learn the chords

Take the guitar classes that bassist/guitarist guy offered.

Get a job/internship.

Learn how to sew

Learn how to knit

Learn how to crochet

Make friendship bracelets.

Make beaded necklaces, bracelets, earrings etc.

Save up money for a bedazzler (hahaha) and use it

Make my own calorie-count book through info online of stuff I regularly eat.

Play violin

Play piano

Sign up for adult gymnastics classes

Sign up for photography classes

Sign up for sewing classes

Sign up for art classes (drawing, painting etc)

Learn how to develop photos

Sign up for tennis lessons

Play tennis

Go wallclimbing at that indoor place at the mall

Hang out with friends-go to team parks etc.

Watch movies: Godfather trilogy, Star Wars, all the cult movies that is definitive over the years

Learn how to edit film

Use the pool

Play squash

Play football with my brother

Read a book: Ann Rand, William Faulkner, Shakespeare, etc. (definitive pieces)

Read chick lit (the fun books that keeps you glued- its trash for the mind but its soooo good!)

Go out to the mall or boutiques with friends or by myself and try on clothes. Once a week maybe? OR two events a month?

Find new friends, do new things. Like the people who always go clubbing, invite yourself? People who are into futsal?
Tips

"The satisfation of food never lasts."

"I believe in salvation through trying just a bit harder than I did yesterday."

"Don't do anthing today you may regret tomorrow."

"Of course it’s hard; if it were easy, everyone would be thin."

"The difference between want and need is self control."

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going."

"Craving is only a feeling."

----------------------------------------

To beat midnight cravings:

+ Try to go to sleep earlier. If you can't actually sleep, just get into bed and try.

+ Exercise. You'll probably be tired after that, and then you can sleep!

+ Read a book.

+ Look at your Xanga. Comment other people, too.

+ Avoid walking by the kitchen.

+ Take a shower or relaxing bath.

+ Call someone (if it's not TOO late).

+ Watch a movie. Forget the snacks, though.

+ Sit outside and enjoy the night.

+ Study or do some homework.

+ Clean.

+ Organize something.

+ Convince yourself you don't need it.

+ Fill yourself up with water.

+ Chew on ice cubes.

---------------------------------

12 Secrets to a Tasty Low-Cal Lunch:

NUMBER ONE

Today, many work environments and offices now provide refrigerators, microwaves - considerably expanding the lunch menu. Take advantage of this fact by keeping the refrigerator stocked with such staples as fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and carrot sticks. Whole wheat bread, reduced fat peanut butter, mustard, and low-fat mayo make a good foundation. Try a salad in a bag, they comes pre-washed and ready to eat. Mix that with any other raw vegetable, (celery, peppers, radishes, etc.), add a serving of chic peas, a sprinkle low-fat dressing, and viola, a nutritious, low-fat lunch - that tastes great!

NUMBER TWO

When preparing your own food, think variety! Try not to eat the same thing twice in the same week. As a cardinal rule, keep it interesting; boredom can sabotage the healthiest, most well intentioned diet, and send you running for the nearest fast food joint or Chinese resturant.

NUMBER THREE

Leftovers are a big aid to consuming a low cal, nutritious lunch. At home, prepare roasted skinless chicken and baked potatoes for dinner one night - just make a little extra. Pack up and bring the leftovers to work with you the next day. One tasty option is to cut up the baked potato and a tomato and drizzle with some balsamic vinegar. This makes a great low-fat side salad to that piece of homemade chicken. You'll be totally satisfied without the extra fat and calories, while saving a couple of bucks as well.

NUMBER FOUR

Sandwiches are one of the most common lunch selections. When ordering a cold cut sandwich from a deli, pay attention to how much meat they pile on. Chances are it will be enough to make two or even three sandwiches, the size of which you'd make at home. As with any meal, watch portion size, and if necessary remove some of the meat. Remember, according to the USDA and the Food Guide Pyramid System, a serving size of meat is about 3 to 4 ounces.

NUMBER FIVE

Processed deli meats, such as bologna, salami, and pepperoni, are high in fat and salt. Choose leaner cuts, such as sliced turkey breast, lean roast beef, or grilled chicken. Eating the right kind of sandwich for lunch can be very fulfilling, and a great combination of carbohydrates and protein that will fuel your afternoon.

NUMBER SIX

When it comes to bread selection, opt for the more nutritious whole wheat or rye. Eating a sandwich on sliced bread rather then a hero or roll saves many calories.

NUMBER SEVEN

I know we all love cheese. Make a deal with yourself, one or two slices of cheese on your sandwich once a week and that's it. As a tasty substitute, try tomatoes, pickles, onions, jalapeno pepper, and lettuce. I like to slice oranges on my turkey sandwich and use a little mustard. Sounds weird, but it's a taste bonanza.

NUMBER EIGHT

If using mayo, try low fat - you'll never taste the difference. Horseradish sauce (Heinz is my favorite), with only two grams of fat per one teaspoon gives any sandwich a nice little kick.

NUMBER NINE

Instead of potato chips or mayonnaise drenched potato salad spoiling your otherwise low fat lunch, try pretzels, applesauce, or my favorite, a sweet salad of chopped carrots and apples laced with balsamic vinegar.

NUMBER TEN

For those days that life gets too busy and you just can't stop and eat, have some fruit, dry cereal, nature valley bars, flavored mini rice cakes or pretzels available. Don't just not eat. Lunch supplies energy for a successful day at work or at home.

NUMBER ELEVEN

When dinning out for lunch use common sense. Skip the bread and butter, begin with a salad and be conscious of what type and how much dressing you use. Pass on the fried, and cheesy appetizers in favor of a grilled or broiled entree. Also, watch what your beverage consumption. Soda will add unwanted calories and sugar to any meal. Stick with a tall, cool glass of water with a wedge of lemon. No calories here, and oh so good for you.

NUMBER TWELVE

During that much needed lunch break, try getting outside for some fresh air, walk around a bit, or sit quietly with yourself and meditate. Go back to work fulfilled and relaxed.

Eating right for lunch doesn't mean giving up all your old favorites. If you follow the above 12 steps you can still enjoy lunch, while cutting back on unwanted calories. And just as a reminder, remember the cardinal rule --Everything in moderation.
Credit: [link]

++

Low-Calorie Lunches:

Brown bag it
The best way to ensure your work lunch fits into your weight loss plan is to pack a healthy meal the night before and bring it with you - you’ll be less likely to hit the food court if you have a lunch that’s already waiting for you, and you won’t be tempted to grab something quick that isn’t diet-friendly. But the best part about bringing your own lunch? You’ll be saving a lot of money! Here are some easy and tasty lunch ideas that’ll help you slim down your body and fatten up your wallet:

Grilled chicken salad or shrimp and salad - they’re easy to make and you can add any food options you like. As many vegetables as you like, a handful of unsalted sunflower seeds, raisins, and a tiny bit of low-fat goat cheese and you have a great salad! Bring some grilled chicken or shrimp to heat up at work to top off your salad.

Boiled eggs, salad and whole wheat pita - boil eggs up the night before and remove the yolks. Enjoy with half a whole wheat pita and a large salad with a little bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Hummus with whole wheat pita and mixed salad greens - hummus is incredibly cheap and tastes great. Spread some on a pita and have it with a big salad for a quick lunchtime snack.

Food Court

It’s inevitable that some day you’ll wind up hitting the food court for your lunch. When this happens, try to go down with a plan of attack - don’t let that great-smelling Chinese food win over your hungry tummy. Instead, choose fresh salads (with dressing on the side) topped with grilled chicken, pitas with shrimp or grilled chicken and lots of vegetables or a big vegetable stir-fry.

When you’re in the food court, be sure to steer clear of any pizzerias, or Mexican and Chinese eateries. Although they might appear to have healthy options, most of these restaurants use so much oil and extra sauce when cooking that they’ll do little for your weight loss plan. Your best bet is to ask for a nutritional information pamphlet, and don’t be scared to ask your server how your food is prepared. Remember, you are the only one who really cares about what you’re eating.

---------------------------------

Summer Diet Plan:

Summer Weight Loss & Dieting Tips
+ When presented with a heavy meal, opt for raw vegetables and fresh fruit combinations. The best choices are those that are closest to their natural state.

+ Avoid Mexican, Italian and Bar-b-Que because these Big Three will definitely make a body feel stuffed to a point of explosion. The food faire tends to be fatty and packed with protein, which lends that too-stuffed feeling.

+ Hydrate with clear water, ice chips and diet lemonade. Most fruit juices tend to hold more calories than nutrients, so grab their fruit-counterpart instead. A fresh apple or orange is more filling than the juice with at least half the calories - yet won't make you feel sluggish and too-full. The added health benefit is fiber.

+ Make exercise time either early in the morning or later in the evening.

-----------------------

If you are sick and tired of your flabby abs, then here are some easy fast weight loss ideas:

Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking eight glasses of water is almost like a must. And do not forget to drink water in the morning, the moment you wake up. In fact this is one of the most rapid weight loss tips that the dieticians suggest to the people.

Have organic foods for the breakfast like apples, bananas, plain yogurt, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, raw honey, wild smoked salmon, and so on.

Keeping a track on the watch, go for an hour walk. It need not be power walking, but definitely it should be non-stop walk and that’s for sure, in a couple of days only, you’ll start finding the difference in you.

Another tip regarding how to lose weight fast, easy and safe is that you should have your dinner about 4-5 hours before going off to sleep.

The two-point program that will ensure the ultimate success is: regular exercise and balanced diet.

Don’t depend upon fat burning diet supplements. They wont go a long way in helping you sustain your reduced kilos.

Soft drinks cannot benefit you in any way. They contain 150 empty calories, so if you substitute one bottle of soft drink with water each day, it will do wonders for you. It will enable you to lose about 16 lbs per year.

Sometimes boredom becomes a cause of overeating, so keep yourself busy.

If you want to seriously control your weight, then you have to stop yourself from getting lured into trying tempting foods.

As important is to pay attention to the fact that we eat the right food, equally vital is to keep a watch on the quantity. Without altering your diet plan, even if you’ll reduce 5-10% of your consumption, it will prove beneficial.

Eat slowly so that you can get a feeling that you have had enough food and your tummy is full. Eat slowly and fully relish the taste.

Credit: [link]

++

Check out this link:

Free Quick Weight Loss Diets

++

Check out this link:

How to Lose Weight Fast

++

And now for MY tips:

1) Cut your calories in half.

2) Exercise twice as much as you did before.

3) Drink nothing but water and/or green tea.

4) Do not snack on anything but fruits & vegetables.

5) Take vitamins.

6) Stay hydrated.

7) Stay positive and motivated.

8) Update your blog, support others, & get support.

9) Look at thinspiration if it helps you.

10) Avoid binging or binging/purging.

11) Stay active & busy all day.

12) Avoid fast food at all costs.

13) Set goals.

14) Take cold showers.

15) Eat healthy foods when you do eat.

-------------------------

Tips To Avoid Eating

Make a list of all the foods that you crave. Each day, pick one to take out of your diet. No matter what, you absolutely cannot eat again. Take one off until there are no bad foods.

Eat in front of a mirror naked except for tight underwear. Do you want him to see that?

Competition is the best motivation for some people. Find a buddy to lose weight with. If you’re ahead of them, it’s a blissful feeling that dwarfs the sick pleasure of eating. If you’re behind, looking at them makes you realize that food is unnecessary. There is nothing stopping you except you.

Curl up in a ball if you have hunger pains. Look at those rolls! You aren’t near hungry enough to get rid of those!

The smell of coffee suppresses appetite.

Wear perfectly applied lip-gloss. You’ll eat slowly and cautiously to avoid messing it up, which will draw your attention to the fact that you’re stuffing your face.

Don’t carry extra money, you’ll be tempted to spend it on food.

Avoid alcohol, tons of calories. Luckily, alcohol is intolerable if you’re chewing peppermint gum.

Don’t give in to your cravings. You’re stronger than that; look at those around you, getting fatter by the second. Be glad that isn’t you.

Chew gum while you cook for others so you won’t sample.

Drink a glass of ice cold water as often as possible, every half-hour is ideal. The water fills and cleanses you; the cold burns calories. At least two quarts daily is good. Water is necessary to carry away the breakdown byproducts of fat.

Smoke a cigarette if you’re hungry. Starting the habit for this reason- bad idea. Symptoms of withdrawal from cigarettes include RAPID WEIGHT GAIN.

Caffeine speeds up metabolism, but you can become dependant in the same way as diet pills.

Wear your favorite tight bikini bottom and take a picture of your love handles. Look at it when you want to eat.

Before you eat, count to 100. Usually that’s all it takes to realize you don’t want it.

Spin in circles: burns calories, induces nausea.

Try new foods when you’re sick, it creates an irreversible association between the food and feeling sick.

If hungry, follow the 4D’s:
Distance yourself from the food;
Delay eating;
Distract yourself;
Decide what your goals really are.

Diet soda works like a miracle at filling you. No calories, obviously. Drink one on a walk, your stomach will hurt a bit and you won’t want to eat for a while.
<you cravings="" p=""> </you>

Think of something disgusting and put the food you crave beside it mentally. Recall a mortifying event and tell yourself that it was caused by the food. Soon you will automatically associate the two.

Tips To Control Eating

Never eat more than a cup. Imagine a bulge in your stomach shaped like that cheeseburger or muffin or whatever it is. Only eat it if you’d be willing to eat the same amount in pure fat.

Make a plan for the week. Buy only food on this plan. Have nothing laying around except for what you have pre-calculated into your allowed daily calorie budget.

If you’re not reading nutrition information on everything that you eat yet, you’re in for it when you see what foods get more than 30% of their calories from fat.

If you’ve eaten an acceptable amount of food but are still hungry, wait twenty minutes and you’ll probably feel full.

Fiber is a natural laxative and makes you feel full. Total cereal- disgusting! Not only is it the percent daily values for the pigs on the street, but all in one meal? Gross.

Eat with your non-dominant hand.

Cut your food into tiny bites and eat very slowly. After you swallow a bite, chew on nothing for a little while, and then take another bite.

Fat free hot cocoa and coffee or chai tea with skim milk fills you up amazingly fast.

Give yourself tiny portions. If you put more than you need or even want on your plate, you’ll feel obligated to eat it.

Imagine everything you’re eating is coated in butter- even the utensils.

Weigh yourself before and after eating.

Stay away from Slim-fast and other “diet” foods. Glance at the nutrition facts and you’ll see why. With all the carbs and excess calories you might as well go eat a pie or something. They also cost a bundle.

Put your food money in a jar; buy something inedible at the end of the month as a reward for everything you didn’t eat.

EXERCISE TIPS:

Drink plenty of water about a half hour before you plan to exercise. Don't drink it immediatly before or you'll get cramps. Drink alot of water when you finish too.

If your lifting weights to bulk up then you want to use heavier weights and lift 12-15 reps. If you want to make muscles long and lean then you need to lift lighter weights and do reps until your arms give out.

Remember to breathe evenly when you exercise, especially in jogging. It keeps cramps away.

Don't lift weights while your fasting and not getting any protien at all. You'll end up destroying more muscle then you create.

Jumping rope helps to get rid of cellulite.

Do crunches not sit ups because sit ups will actually make your stomach larger, while crunches just tone it up.

another day

Water weight. Fuck. I had my hopes up too.

I drank a boatload of water and it said my weight was up to 62kg again. Even when I didnt eat much today.

Intake:
9am: not even half a glass of Orange tang: was barely 2 sips (30?)
1pm: a salad leaf, (not even!) a portion of protein (both chicken and beef), a fucking thin slice of cheese that looked like potato skin, a glass of water (200)
5pm: Mcflurry oreo (300)
6pm: buttered fish with baby kailan (400)
9pm: a bowl of clear veggie soup (50), fish and veggie (200) + 3 glasses of water

=1180cals

walked all over in the city today on the count of not driving, so i would guess i burned about 300 from walking AT LEAST. My legs and body is killing me.

I soooo need to get a pedometer.

Hunger pangs

I'm quite hungry. Ravenous even but without food too. Breakfast was papaya of all things! Hahahaha. That just makes me laugh though I kind of made a blunder and had like something that had potatoes in it. Dang. But at least it wasnt anything with wheat... thats my reassurance. I just though about this, I mean, if you werent supposed to eat carbs, and instead pile on proteins and whatnot, but doesnt meat and all have carbs too? I mean, when you think about it, even we probably have some carb content in our (human meat) body hahaha. Interesting anyway. Im just hungry.

Why is it cheaper to become fat than it is to be healthy? Pizza and McD and all costs sooooo cheap and yet healthy food alternatives are so expensive even when they are in smaller amounts in comparison to pizza and all. Its totally not fair.

Breakfast: 3 slices of papaya +2 glasses of water [calories: not sure: 100?]
Lunch-snack thing: assorted things (+the ungodly potato thing)+1 glass of water [400-overestimate]

wearing: green cardigan, white racerback tank, faded blue widelegged FCUK jeans

Mmmm...so far so good, I ate a lot of tom yam today which is delicioussssss by the way. Yay for eating down my daily water intake too haha. Also, I ate McFlurry. Its not as good as it used to be. I had a near-lapse of judgment and wanted to drink a can of Sprite but I didnt. Yay!

I think as early 2000's as I sound like by saying this, its true: carbs is the death of me. I never realised how much I could do without it, of course I do feel like eating pizza but hmm, my definition and interpretation of not eating carbs is basically the big 3 = rice, bread and noodles/pasta. Though maybe if I were ever to get a pizza, I'll eat the toppings or something haha. I just have the biggest craving for cheese now. Hmmm...

Plan to read that French Women Dont Get Fat book til finish by this weekend as well as The Kite Runner soon (hopefully by next weekend, Ill be done with it) Yay! I loveeeeeeeeeeeee Princess Bride haha, thats so random but that was last weeks movie to watch. This week, it'll be My Girl and My Girl 2. I soooo need to get Now and Then.

Anyway, I HAVE to clean my room. Its a fucking pigsty here. This totally counts as cardio... hahaha.

Tomorrow hopefully I will get a sewing machine! Yay! So many yays. Anyway omg, did anyone watch the American Idol tryouts in Philadelphia with that girl with the Princess Leia buns? Err, can you say awkward? That guy who had that stalk-song for Paula was funny hahahaha.

"If she was a dog, I'd walk her...something something...focker!"

hahahaha!

Soooooooo starting on food journal again. Today, I am definitely sure Im about 1300 calories at most. Mostly soup (freaking probably 10 times today?) and the most was that Mcflurry Oreo as well as some bananas, papayas and a handful of grapes. And loaaaads of water.

How superficial of me to want to try and smoke a cig and drink coffee tomorrow and order wine Friday night? Knowing my fear of fire, I'd probably need to get one of those long handled automatic lighters to light the cig hahaha! Mmmm, coffee tomorrow though. And definitely wine Friday night <3

Toodles!

-K

For real this time.

I want to be like Edie Sedgwick, how godawful wannabe do I sound now? Hahaha.. well, in retrospect without all that becoming a drug addict and spiraling out of control part but the part where she was so generous and kind and beautiful and stylish and made a name of herself. Eventhough it was for becoming a "Poor Little Rich Girl".

First off, she is one of my inspiration to lose weight. Everyone has someone to look up to when they want to lose weight right? Mine is Edie as well as Adriana Lima and Blake Lively. Also, Blair Waldorfs character on GG. Yes yes pretentious, but that amount of willpower to survive on a grape for most of the day is quite admirable. In contrast to my stomachs capacity and uncontrollable desire to eat everything in sight.

The last time I weighed myself (last week btw-mind you, I'm known to be able to pack on weight fast) was 62 kilos, which I know for a fact is below 140 pounds on my 5'3 frame. I just checked, Its like 136 pounds. Pffft. My ultimate goal weight is to get down to between 50-55 kilos. I had a goal actually to be down to 55kilos by March which really seems hard to do now, but Ill give it a try. I lost about 5 kilos last year and managed to keep it off so I'm really proud of that.

Safe foods: veggies, fruits, water, green tea, tea, coffee, nescafe, soups, salads, almonds, nuts, salmon, etc.
Dietary fat: avocado, olive oil.

Keep food scale close by. 120-170 grams of salmon, instead of 250 grams. Follow French Women Dont Get Fat lifestyle as well as the Mediterranean and Low GI diet ideas.

For two days I havent eaten any forms of complex carbs like rice, pasta, bread etc and possibly I'll keep it up. I'll need to get some couscous and oatmeal though.

HW: 75kilos (165.3pounds)
LW: 60kilos (132 pounds) <-back in july of last year, i totally worked my ass off in 2007 but slacked off on the latter half of the year.
CW: 62kilos (136 pounds)

It gets harder to lose weight now. I'm going to try and limit (or eliminate entirely) soda from my daily consumption. Not that I drink it much anyway. Maybe I'll just develop a liking for coffee. Mmmmhmm.

GW1: 59kilos (130 pounds)

GW2: 57kilos (125pounds)

GW3: 55kilos (121 pounds) [UGW2]

GW4: 52 kilos

UGW: 50 kilos [UGW1]

I will freaking need to take a beating on my ass, seriously to get in shape.

Problem areas: tummy, thighs, back.

Is there any way to lose weight in your chin/neck/nose? Hahahaha...crazy thought hmm.

Need to get: resistance band, light handweights, medicine ball, running shoes, gym pants.

Fashionwise, when I get to my UGW, I will get for myself a pair of Chanel sunglasses...or a branded wristwatch. Mmmm... *salivates* Coach or Ferragamo handbag/wallet. Ferragamo or Hermes belt.

I like to dream *sighs wistfully*

Anyway, toodles!

-Kate
